Featuring the unmistakable vocals of Brazilian reggae icon Junior Dread, the track is a bold declaration of resilience and unity in turbulent times.
Deeply rooted in the classic sound system culture, Standing Strong sees An Dannsa Dub diving deeper into roots reggae than ever before, while still maintaining their signature infusion of Scottish folk influences. The track’s pulsating basslines, hypnotic rhythms, and soaring melodies create a soundscape that is both deeply traditional and refreshingly modern. Junior Dread’s evocative lyricism adds a layer of raw emotion, speaking to the struggles of the world today while delivering a message of hope and defiance.
This release also marks an exciting new chapter for An Dannsa Dub as they officially join La Tempesta Dub.
The single serves as a key release ahead of An Dannsa Dub’s highly anticipated new album, Through The Storm, due later this year. The album, recorded in the remote and rugged Black Bay Studios in Scotland’s Outer Hebrides, captures the raw energy and cultural fusion that defines the band’s sound.
