Jamaican Roots Reggae legend Cedric Myton prepares a new single with Freedom Sounds from Brazil and Costa Rebel from Costa Rica.

In 2023 Cedric Myton went on a 27-show tour in Brazil and Argentina with Jah Bruno from Freedom Sounds, who did not hesitate to bring his portable recording equipment to work on new productions. During just over a month of touring, 20 new songs were recorded, “No Counterfeit” being the first of them. Jah Bruno had previously worked on several instrumentals with Costa Rebel, one of them, specifically the “Mulher Bonita Riddim” would be the basis for this new song.

Currently the 3 talents have stood out and contributed high quality works to the international reggae scene, Freedom Sounds and Cedric released an EP a year ago and reached more than 3 million views with the video for the song “Canoa Quebrada”. For his part, Cedric Myton participated in the Inna Di Yard collective’s tour throughout Europe and is preparing a new album with “The Congos” and with Sly Dunbar as guest drummer.

Freedom Sounds is preparing a new 10-track album recorded in Jamaica with great Reggae stars such as Fred Locks, Derajah, King Kong, Naptali and many more.

Costa Rebel recently released the song “Con Toda” with the Spanish Pipo Ti and Positive Vibz, which was added to the Spotify editorial playlists “Novedades Viernes Latinoamérica” and “Reggae en Español”, as well as the video for the song “Alta Suciedad” It reached more than 2.5 million views on YouTube. He recently worked on some instrumental riddims for Little Lion Sound / Evidence Music from Switzerland. From this project we can highlight the songs “Chat To Me” by Chezidek and “Champion Sound” by Dan Gio.

“Not Counterfeit” will be promoted on social media, especially on the Freedom Sounds Instagram account, which has more than 115K followers, and the Costa Rebel TikTok account, which has more than 49K followers. An extensive email marketing campaign is being prepared, including DJs and Selectors from America, Europe and Africa mainly. Several interviews are planned in different media, the song will be played in streaming and of course, in Freedom Bar, Canoa Quebrada.
