Malie Donn‘s highly anticipated debut studio album, The Golden Child, arrives September 4. The album title reflects Malie Donn‘s journey of resilience, elevation, and self-belief, from growing up in Spanish Town, St. Catherine and Portmore to becoming one of dancehall’s fastest-rising stars.

Across 21 tracks, The Golden Child showcases the range of his artistry, further establishing him as one of the defining voices of dancehall’s new generation. The album features collaborations with Dancehall icon Squash, Byron Messia, Antuwang, and Javo Donn.

The artwork for the project depicts Malie Donn covered in Sunlight and gold with hands reaching toward him, symbolizing achievement and perseverance, while remaining connected to the people and experiences that shaped his rise. Squash’s appearance on The Golden Child was an important collaboration for Malie Donn’s debut studio album, and underscores the significance of the project, highlighting Malie’s rapid growth within the dancehall community.
