Mango Wood returns with their second album following the success of Stomp You Down (Liquidator Music, 2020). In this full-length release, we can appreciate the evolution and maturity of the Madrid-based band, which has developed a unique, signature sound. This time, they dive into more complex compositions without straying from the essence of Boss Reggae.

We previously enjoyed the release of the video single The Sound Of Now, the track that gives the album its name, where the band presents its new lineup compared to their previous record, with a well-defined aesthetic. The album’s production follows the path of the band’s past work, recorded live at Estudios Brazil. Later, it was mixed at Estudios Estrella (where they also mixed their previous singles Never Ever and The Cimmerian) and finally mastered at AD Mastering in London.

The lyrics span a wide variety of themes, from the rebellious and bold spirit of The Leap, to Western influences in The Colt from Manjatan, and romantic themes in Long Time and By Your Side. The album explores a range of styles within Early Reggae, from the frenetic dance rhythm of The Sound Of Now to the bluesy King Rat, and the gentle Hurts When I’m Gone.

This well-rounded album is available in a vinyl format, with the option to purchase an orange-colored copy, released by Liquidator Music. Copies are available in their store in the heart of Madrid, which is depicted on the cover.
