Planta e Raiz – Flor de Fogo (2025) Album

Label: Z Produções
Release date: 10/02/2025

The members of brasilian band Planta e Raiz come from a generation that grew up listening to vinyl, which makes the release of Flor de Fogo in this format so special for them. For the band, it’s an intimate way of experiencing music: listening to an album in its entirety, in sequence, following along with the lyrics in the booklet, and truly getting to know the artist. “I think it’s really important to pass this on to new generations,” reflects vocalist Zeider.

Flor de Fogo is the band’s new work. Having already released 14 albums and with nearly 30 years of career behind them, this record brings ten tracks, two of which are completely new and available exclusively on vinyl. The other eight songs were part of the Ao Vivo em Noronha DVD and are now being released as studio versions. “When we recorded the live album, we also did a pre-production of the record, tracking all the songs in the studio. Two of those ten tracks didn’t make it onto the live version, and since they turned out really cool, we decided to share them with our fans in this special way,” explains Zeider.

The songs were recorded at El Rocha Studio and mixed by Fernando Sanches. They reflect a lot about Planta e Raiz, but also about life in general. “When I write a song, I always think about people’s feelings. Sometimes their experiences also inspire me,” says Zeider, emphasizing that the tracks touch on everyday life, nature, creativity, faith, and resilience.

This Rocinante/Três Selos edition is pressed on 180g yellow vinyl and includes a printed insert with the song lyrics.
