Rescue The World [Taitu Records] (2024) EP

Label: Taitu Records
Produced by: Amanda Ford
Release date: 01/12/2024

Taitu Records is back from another successful trip deep into the vault. Recorded in Jamaica in 2010, this EP is highly relevant for our trouble times.

First up, Mikey Melody brings us a motivational roots soundsystem anthem, “Rescue“, assuring us that in times of worry and trouble, we can find relief in conscious reggae music and soundsystem. Next, Abijah reminds us that, just like “The World”, what goes around comes around, so we should strive to say and do the right.

Both songs appear on a hard-driving Disciples riddim reminiscent of Gussie Clarke with a splash of Shaka, while Russ D gets down on the mix at Backyard Studio UK.

Taitu Records operates with the core mission to bring upliftment to all who have ears to hear. Positive reggae music can change lives, and with this EP it is hoped listeners will find inspiration to do their part to Rescue The World.
