Ruts & La Isla Music presents their new album Miss Lava. It is the fourth studio album by the Canarian singer, marked by the stylistic diversity within black music and by its optimistic and vindictive messages.

Miss Lava is an eruption that challenges the historical myth of women’s weakness and emphasizes their strength and self-esteem to demand equality. Strength is the leitmotiv of a work that also flows between maturity, the passage of time, happiness, love, friendship and the vindication of original art.

Musically, the album is faithful to the style of Ruts & La Isla Music and covers a wide variety of genres, all of them united by her love of black music. Reggae, new roots, dub or lovers rock join elements of neo soul (soul, hip hop, pop, electronic, R&B) in a journey that develops the vocal potential of the singer, which she shows from her sweetest, sensual and silky of NCNV and Fui Yo, until his most projected record in Cuarenta y Tantas. In Ciudad del Arte and Arriba, vocal elements more typical of rap and raggamuffin are also recognized.

Ruts & La Isla Music itself has been in charge of the arrangements and musical production of the album together with Yeray Herrera. The mixing has been carried out by the Catalan engineer Genís Trani (Kabaka Pyramid, Macaco, La Sra. Tomasa…) except NCNV by Ioné de la Cruz, while the mastering is the work of Xavier ‘Lek’ Farré (Nathy Peluso, Chronixx, Protoje , Koffee, Third World, Jesse Royal…).

Miss Lava is now available on digital platforms and the video clip for the album’s title track will be released on December 8.
