Soul Sugar and Dub Shepherds come again with a second single out of the album “Blue House Rockin’ ” due to release in September. This time around they cover the dark organ instrumental “Disco jack” originally by Jackie Mittoo, the keyboard king!
Recorded live in the studio the four musicians deliver a blazing hot version, the groove is tight and the organ roars like a lion surrounded by wild percussions and sound effects pouring out of the mixing board channeling the darkest vibrations of 70’s roots reggae with a touch of funk.
Mixed the old school way on 24 tracks tape recorder, analog console and hardware, the original cut comes with a massive dub version, both mixed by the Dub Shepherds at their own Bat records studio.
