Born in Beijing and deeply inspired by Jamaican music, Stinging Ray carries reggae with love, respect and consciousness. For several years, Irie Ites has been working with him to build a real musical bridge between China, Jamaica, Europe and the worldwide reggae massive.

Reggae was born in Jamaica, but its message has travelled across the world. From roots reggae to dancehall, dub, hip hop, sound system culture and global music movements, Jamaica’s influence continues to inspire people from every country, every background and every generation.

“Forbidden Herbz” is part of that journey: a respectful connection to Jamaican music, voiced by an artist from Beijing, produced by Irie Ites Records in France, and carried by the spiritual roots energy of the Sacrament Riddim.
