Singer, poet, and dedicated advocate for children, Taj Weekes is a St. Lucian songwriter whose vibrant humanitarian spirit fuels both his social activism and his powerful, conscious lyrics. Appointed UNICEF Children’s Champion and founder of the TOCO (They Often Cry Outreach) organization, he embodies the belief that giving is a gesture that must be passed on. His pen questions, soothes, and disrupts – always guided by deep humanism.
At his side, The Ligerians, a roots reggae band born on the banks of the Loire River in Tours (France), renowned for their musical precision and international collaborations — from Max Romeo to Vaughn Benjamin (Midnite/Akae Beka), from Rod Anton to Chezidek, and from Nadia McAnuff to Christos DC. True to the “Each One Teach One” spirit, the musicians have spent over a decade crafting a dense, soulful reggae sound that supports the voices of both Jamaican legends and the new emerging generation.
