“Feels like the end but it’s just the beginning”

With these words, Tóke opens “Big Wave”, the first glimpse into his upcoming album, set for release in 2027. Written around a warm one-drop riddim, the song is about growth, resilience and learning to trust the journey. The title becomes a metaphor for movement itself: a wave is something you cannot completely control. You can resist it, fear it, or learn to move with it.

Tóke chooses the latter. In an era shaped by compari-son, optimisation and the pressure to constantly move faster, “Big Wave” proposes a different measure of success: stay awake, stay connected, celebrate others’ wins, trust your own pace, let go of the illusion of total control and let the wave carry some of the weight.
