Joe Yorke & The Co-Operators – Hard Road (2024) Single

Label: Waggle Dance Records
Album: The Co-Operators & Friends
Release date: 04/12/2024

Joe Yorke‘s ‘Hard Road‘ is the first single from The Co-Operators & Friends new LP ‘Sounds from the Fridge‘. An album that features a broad cast of singers and players from the Waggle Dance Records stable.

Following 2023’s full length ‘A Distant Beat‘ Joe has been back in the studio with his old friend, producer and songwriter Eeyun Purkins. This time Joe’s unmistakable voice soars between his tenor and falsetto discussing the tribulations faced by many of us on our journey into adulthood and beyond. Exploring generational trauma and the need for self-love Joe has never sounded so full of truth & soul.

The rhythmic back drop of ‘Hard Road‘ is as rough and rugged as it is warm and smooth. Decorated with downbeat percussion and underlined by a trodding bass line it has all the distinct stylings you would expect from Joe Yorke & The Co-Operators.
