Virtus – Maldito Papelito (2025) Single

Label: Cabiria Record | Redgoldgreen Label
Release date: 02/07/2025

Maldito Papelito, a new video by VirtuS, released by Cabiria Record and Redgoldgreen Label, is now available on all major platforms and YouTube.

The pursuit of happiness and personal fulfillment seems increasingly tied to the obsession with money. Maldito Papelito explores this theme through the story of a young woman, offering a glimpse into the complexities of society. The video avoids judgment, focusing instead on the individual’s journey, from their challenging past to the potential consequences of their choices.

The track, with its distinct dancehall influence, builds on the well-known dem bow rhythm. This rhythm has transcended its Jamaican roots, influencing various latin music genres. For this release, VirtuS has written the lyrics in spanish, marking his first official single in the language.

Maldito Papelito originated from the Jamaican Ting Riddim, a riddim produced by VirtuS himself. This riddim has also attracted international jamaican artists such as Turbulence, Meggabling, Detektah, and italian talent Petross. The video was directed by Nino Villani, continuing his collaboration with VirtuS after the singles Heartical and Warning.
